I started this blog to remind myself of the blessings I've been given and to post something each and every day that I am thankful for. So far, I have done really poorly at doing that.
I'm going to make the commitment (again) to do that, so here we go...
Today, I am so thankful for the wonderful people in my life.
Whether they are family or friends, I really do have some amazing examples in my life.
Some people are nearby, and I see them nearly every day.
Some people are close enough, but I sometimes forget to call them on the days when I can't drive the 50 minutes it takes to get home.
Some people are really far away, and I only get to communicate with them through emails sent when there is time for email (which there rarely is).
However, I have the amazing blessing of knowing some really amazing people who, through the smallest actions, lift me up each and every day and make me want to be a better person and a better friend.
While I won't make a list here of my favorite people, 'cause really, that's weird, I hope all of you know that you mean a lot to me and I am lucky to know you.

It's Christmas (almost)!
Today, my two roommates and I went out and bought wonderful Christmas decorations. This included two trees (our main living room one, and a tiny one that I got for my bedroom, as tradition dictates), many feet of lights and garland, a jingle bell doorknob hanger (I love jingle bells!!!) and some adorably small stockings. They came in a pack of four, so this is what happened to the fourth one:
Basically, it's Christmas, ya'll, and that is something to be excited about.
I don't know how he got added to our little college family. It's a mystery.
Also, this is the fabulous tree that my roommate Bri decorated (with some lighting help from Krystal.)
And this is my baby tree that is in my room.
Basically, it's Christmas, ya'll, and that is something to be excited about.
